Job Summary:
We seek a skilled Social Media Manager fluent in Swahili to drive content strategy and execution in Nigeria or Tanzania, aligning with Sporty Group’s marketing objectives. This role combines strategic content planning and hands-on creation, requiring collaboration across teams to produce impactful messaging on multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy Development:
Develop and execute a content strategy for the Tanzanian and Nigerian markets that aligns with Sporty Group’s goals.
Content Creation: Produce, edit, and manage content in Swahili, including articles, videos, social media posts, and multimedia assets tailored for sports fans.
Platform Management: Manage content distribution across social media, websites, newsletters, and other digital platforms.
Market Analysis: Track trends in Tanzanian and Nigerian sports industries, monitor competitors, and analyze audience preferences to create relevant content.
Collaborative Work: Coordinate with marketing, social media, and design teams for cohesive messaging and delivery.
Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze performance metrics to guide content optimization.
Community Engagement: Interact with the audience on social media to foster an engaging and active community.
Budget Management: Manage content budgets, ensuring high-quality production within cost constraints.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related fields.
Proven experience in social media or content management, ideally in betting, sports or entertainment.
Required Skills:
Proficient in both Swahili and English, with strong written and verbal communication.
Familiarity with the sports landscapes in Nigeria and Tanzania, particularly popular sports like football and basketball.
Skilled in content creation tools, video editing software, and content management systems.
Analytical skills to interpret data and refine content strategy.
Creative, sports-passionate thinker with a track record of engaging audiences.
Ability to work remotely and manage multiple projects independently.
