Role Overview:
Realm is seeking a dynamic Events Manager to oversee all aspects of in-person and virtual event planning and management for our digital communities. This includes planning events, executing them, and measuring their impact. The ideal candidate will bring a creative flair to designing events that engage, inspire, and facilitate meaningful connections among members.
Responsibilities:
- Event Planning and Execution: Conceptualize, plan, and execute a variety of events, from small gatherings and workshops to large-scale conferences and virtual webinars.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate with and manage vendors and venues, ensuring top-notch service and cost-efficiency.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring transparency and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Community Engagement: Work closely with Digital Community Managers to ensure events reflect community interests and promote maximum participation.
- On-Site Management: When needed, physically oversee all event operations, ensuring smooth execution and promptly addressing any issues that arise.
- Feedback Analysis: Collect and analyze post-event surveys to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Membership Interaction: Engage with members to understand their needs and expectations for events, enhancing satisfaction and retention.
- Marketing and Promotion: Photograph events, track social media impressions and engagement of the event, and generate event recap materials.
Who You Are:
- Proven experience as an Events Manager or similar role, with a portfolio of successfully managed events, ideally in different geographic regions.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with team members, vendors, and community members.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Able to work with, analyze, and present data.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel, as event schedules may require.
- Proficient in using project management software and tools.
