Function : Technology
The Technology function is dedicated to:
- Building and maintaining all the technical and code based aspects of BVNK and Wiredirect
- financial products.
- Management of all of our infrastructure, development pipelines, and security of our products
- Working with our sales, trading and operations team to deliver more than just functional
- products, but products that are focussed on good customer experience
- Providing the team to develop a solid market making and liquidity function
The function incorporates engineering, testing, security, architecture and dev-ops, with all aspects of software development aside from product management integrated.
- CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
- Provide data and information for the rest of the business to make effective decisions
- Create and maintain the technology to manage exchange connections and liquidity creation
Role Profile
The role of the Technical Support Engineer is to support the Tier 2 support aspects of the business. Tier 2 support will deal with technical queries and operational support requirements from the business. Tier 3 support (development team) will support the tier 2 team where needed. The tier 2 support team will also be responsible for management and maintenance of office and employee IT infrastructure and ensure that all security policies are followed. Tier 2 support will at times include supporting key BVNK customers.
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality direct support to merchants and integrators.
- Ensure office IT policies are implemented and maintained.
- Produce internal training material.
- Produce and/or maintain technical documentation for merchants and integrators.
- Ensure internal business customers (finance, trading, etc) are well supported.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 2+ years in technical support related roles
- 2+ years in IT support/infrastructure related roles
- Linux, Mac and Windows
- Remote management tools (AnyDesk, VNC, etc)
- Video recording and editing tool(s) for training material
- Documentation/design tools for external facing material
- Understanding of REST APIs
- Configuration management
